Book now at Utrecht Travelcafé the best and most enjoyable walking tour of the city. Under the guidance of an experienced Utrecht guide we go to see the best that Utrecht has to offer at the most beautiful places in the city center!
The guide tells you stories about the residents of the past and about the special buildings in the city center in various locations. In about 2 hours we’ll see the many different sides of this versatile city. For example, you can see why this was the most important city in the country throughout the Middle Ages before Amsterdam became one of the most important cities in the world in the golden age. We walk across squares, past ancient buildings, narrow alleyways and the unique Utrecht wharf cellars that have not been built in this way anywhere in the world.
Through the city center of Utrecht we walk via the Vredenburg to modern Utrecht and the renovated station area with the impressive Tivoli-Vredenburg building. From the largest market square in Utrecht we walk towards the historic Mariaplaats. Through alleys and courtyards we reach the old and the new canal with the imposing Paushuize. In Lepelenburg Park you learn about the origin of the Maliebaan, one of the most famous streets in Utrecht. Of course, the literal and figurative highlight of the city is not lacking on this tour: The Dom Tower, the skyline dominating center of the city. Here we end the tour in a special place under the Dom.
